Poor Danny… his life seems to be falling apart and we are all here just nodding our heads. Ain’t it funny how it happens?
Even though the subject matter is pretty grim, this track goes hard as bricks. Lets enjoy Danny Brown while we can and throw a little prayer his way (like he asks on this track) if you are into that stuff.
Oh, and the video, directed by Jonah Hill (yes THE Jonah Hill), is really great too.
The Norwegian songstress comes through with a video for her new single “Bloodstream”. While it might not be as catchy as her previous single “Breathe” (also very good), it is still a proper pop song which seems to be inspired by a more darker sound that reminds me of the earlier work from The Weeknd. The lack of catchy-ness is by no means a bad thing though. If anything, it shows that Astrid S probably has more to offer than just being a one-dimensional pop star.
As far as i can tell there is no info on what her new album/EP will be called or when it’ll see the light of day. But “Breathe” and “Bloodstream” show all the signs that whatever she puts out next will be of top-chart caliber.
Jamie XX already released a video for this single back in 2015, which was a pretty cool video in it’s own right. But this ‘remake’, i guess you could call it, just takes it to another level. Be sure to also check out the making-off/behind the scenes of this video, which really surprised me by showing some scenes which i would have sworn were done with CGI.
You can still get the the album “In Colour”. A must listen in my opinion.
