This song is so smooth and soulfull. The accompanying video is really cool too and it has this almost M. Night Shyamalan-esque reveal (it’s nothing major, like the final clue in ‘The Sixth Sense’ or anything, but it came quite unexpected for me). Make sure you check out his other work if this is to your liking. I can most certainly recommend his track “Black Man In A White World”.
I am not exactly sure which came first. But is seems like Masego & FKJ’s live & improvised(!) performance was so good, they decided to make an official track for it. And rightfully so. The live performance is just mesmerising to watch and the official single is a great addition. Great vibes all around.
Let me know what you think about the track below!
It seems like DJDS are working towards releasing a new project. The main single from that project will most like be this track featuring Khalid and Empress Of. Let’s hope they continue putting out more music like this, because this is just excellent once again.
Show DJDS some love
SZA’s lead single, of her debut studio album “Ctrl”, called “Drew Barrymore” is in my opinion the strongest track on the album. I’ve been listening to this for months now. And so should you (or at the very least give it a listen).
I get so lonely, I forget what I’m worth/
We get so lonely, we pretend that this works
The video is also super slick and features some really nice visuals. Go out support the songstress and TDE in general. Over the past few years they have just been absolutely killing it.

Check out this absolute TUNE by Jorja Smith & Preditah! This has some serious old school UK Garage vibes which might remind you of Todd Edwards’s older work. I don’t think i’ve ever heard a song with these type of vocal chops that i didn’t like.
I’ve been hoping for years that this type of music would make a comeback. Let’s hope this track catches on mainstream and it is the starting point of a new wave of UK Garage inspired music.

Yesterday i discovered Bishop Briggs. It is one of the better things to happen to me in a while. I just love this type of music, specifically for when I’m out running. The way this tracks builds from very laid-back all the way up to the peak of the crescendo. This type of music is just perfect for all-out sprints.
If you’re into this, you should also check out another song of her’s called “River“. Or alternatively you can watch Stevie Doré just absolutely kill it with a choreography in high-heels (apparently that’s a thing. y’all ladies are just silly sometimes).
